Meeting with DoC was on Thursday 19th May 2005 - On the site ie end of Tokirima Road Good News! The DoC agreed to keep the site open for a year while we count the numbers of visitors - Our comments to them included the following The DoC claim they have consulted (along with several hundred other proposals) with the public. Comment: In their document "DoC Recreation Review " the track occupies only 4 lines, has three submissions and has no final decision. The consultation process was flawed - it only consulted in New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wellington etc - never in Taumarunui (let alone Tokirima!) Comment: A 24hr video surveillance camera used during March & April 2005 shows that :
